- Photovoltaics: Trained by Solar Energy International and certified by NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners).
- Solar Thermal: Trained by PG&E.
- Energy Efficiency: Principal owner trained and worked as Energy Efficiency Coordinator for the City of Roseville.
- Licensing: Licensed by California Contractors License Board with B general contractor, C-39 roofing, and HIC home improvements designations since 1979.
- Experience: Thirty years experience in hands-on installation of electrical, plumbing, heating and air, structural framing, and roofing systems.
